In reply to Becky Rich. I have tried PlayerXtreme and found it to be a better option than jailbreaks or unlocking. I can enjoy my favorite movies and music on my apple t.v. I liked its volume boost and all format support feature. I also liked its audio-video delay, thanks for sharing.

There are billions of apps available on various app stores but we always discuss the top most apps because they are the best. If we talk about the media player apps then only one name comes into our mind “PlayerXtreme Media Player” and it is really a worth downloading app. With this Media Player app, I can access data from any device on my local area network through my iPhone 6plus. I can sync libraries and data from other devices to play it. I personally like PlayerXtreme, it is a good media player app with many great features. It offers a sound boost up to 3times without compromising sound quality and plays all format videos with 1080p playback. Now, I can also cast my data through Chrome cast and Airplay. Waiting for the Apple TV version of this product.

This technique was done back in 1.x.x day's. the process was quite mess and caused more problems then it was worth. the only way to actually jailbreak the ATV 3 is if there is a A5 bootrom exploit is found. Even though 5.1.1 is jailbreakable there are things called vectors that the ATV 3 does not have compare to to its iDevice brothers.

I am a absolute newbe in Apple and jailbreaking. Just a short Question and sorry for the dump question.

When I am right, the ATV3 Jailbreak Issue is, that ATV3 has no Browser as Entrypoint for Jailbreaking.
So my idea is…
Is it possible to modify an iOS for ATV3 (offline) and add an entrypoint like a browser?
Or directly a modified jailbreaked iOS?
If it works, the next step can be to build an Update Server like Apple´s in your local LAN with Ip Adresses or DNS Names from Apples Update Server and send from there the modified iOS with needed Entry Point.

Is this possible?
